WHAT TO BRING TO THE MARCH

Wear your organizational shirts and bring your signs and banners. Please refrain from bringing partisan signs or signs with profanity.
Wear good walking shoes and bring water. It will be hot. 

WHEN TO ARRIVE

The march will begin at 5:00 PM sharp so arrive early. There will be music, cultural performances, and march instructions starting at 4:00 PM at Corpening Plaza. To enjoy the performances and find a parking spot close to the Plaza, plan to arrive at 4:00 PM.

RIDE A BUS TO WINSTON-SALEM

WHERE TO PARK YOUR VAN OR BUS

If you or your organization are bringing a bus or van to the March for Voting Rights, please email this information to forwardtogether@naacpnc.org and provide the contact information for a bus/van captain. That individual will be provided with parking instructions. 

MARCH ROUTE

The march route is 10 1/2 blocks long. The route is a circle and will begin and end at Corpening Plaza. Those unable to march can stay at the Plaza and enjoy music and conversation.

PREPARE TO MARCH WITH A WEEKEND OF EVENTS

On Saturday night, the Winston-Salem NAACP will hold a Welcoming Reception at 6:00 PM at 4130 Oak Ridge Dr. Winston-Salem, NC with refreshments for those who arrive in town early. Meet plaintiffs, attorneys, and Winston-Salem leaders who helped organize this historic event. 

On Sunday night, we will hold a Interfaith Prayer & Worship Service at 6:00 PM at Union Baptist Church at 1200 Trade St. Winston-Salem, NC.
